Annual party set for Sojourners Shelter
Read Aloud will celebrate its annual Christmas party at Sojourner's Shelter at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 9. Holiday refreshments will be served and donated gently used books will be made available to all shelter residents.
Resident children 18 and under will be presented with a Christmas stocking of age appropriate gifts and a new book specially selected for each of them based on their age, interests and reading level. Preschool children will also each receive a copy of Highlights for Children.
A Christmas story will be selected and read aloud to participants. We are also looking for volunteers to help the youngest children enjoy their new books and/or to lead us in singing a couple of Christmas songs. To volunteer please call Katy White at 304-343-9230.
